VOLK G Series Lenses

Volk Gonio Series lenses deliver the brightest, crispest and clearest inages of the anterior structures attainable! The design features are second to none.

Each reflecting surface incorporates a high-efficiency vacuum-deposited mirror coating that is double over-coated with silicon dioxide and catalized polyurethane polymer to provide the ultimate in protection.

The all-glass design also facilitates convenient and simple cleaning and disinfection methods - critical in your fast-paced practice!

Volk 6 Mirror(G-6) Lenses NEW

The 6 mirror Gonio lens provides the most comprehensive sweeping views of the anterior segment.

  • Six closely aligned mirrors eliminate gaps providing a true 360° panoramic view.
  • More complete mirror structure can reduce examination time by 25% or more:
    • Simpler to locate position and scan across mirrors; no confusion where one view ends and the next begins.
    • Reduces need to maneuver slit lamp.
  • Enhanced lens body design improves utility:
    • A tapered profile less prone to a patient squeezing off the eye.
    • A taller, narrower body easier to hold within the orbit.
  • No flange/fluid design simplifies the examination.

Volk 3 Mirror Lenses
Ultra Clear!
Volk 3 mirror lenses featuring ultra-clear Volk 3-Mirror optics, incorporating 3 mirrors precisely angled at 76°, 66° and 60°.
The 3 Mirror is ideal for anterior chamber as well central and peripheral fundus viewing and treatment.
The retinal viewing mirrors are accurately angled to eliminate "gaps" in the visualized fundus. The central portion of the lens also provides direct observation of the central portion of the posterior pole.
The Volk 3 Mirror Lens also features Laser Window, a Laser/AR coated and bonded protective glass cover providing precise laser beam transmission and lasting durability.
There are 3 models to choose from. The Standard 18mm ANF+ version is available in your choice of either SupraCoat (argon/AR) or LaserPlus (diode) laser coating.

Our new 15.5mm "No Flange" version is optimized for the diagnosis and treatment of infants and patients with narrow palpebral fissures.

Specifications:
76° / 66° / 60° Mirror Angles
.9x Magnification

Volk G-1 trabeculum
The Volk G-1 trabeculum provides the highest magnification of ANY gonioscopy lens in existence! Perfect for viewing and treating the trabecular meshwork. One 62° mirror presents a good view of the anterior chamber angle while the central portion of the lens can be used to view the posterior pole for signs of glaucoma and other central retinal maladies.

The extended housing is optimized for static or dynamic gonioscopy - reducing fatigue and promoting rotation on the globe with minimal effort. Available in standard (flange) or new glass NF (no-flange/no-fluid) design.

Specifications:
1 x 62° Mirror
1.5x Magnification
.67x Laser Spot Magnification Factor

Volk G-2 trabeculum
For those who prefer the versatility that a second mirror adds, then you may want to consider the Volk g-2 trabeculum.

It features the same 1.5x magnification as the G-1 but offers two opposing mirrors angled at 60° and 64° respectively.

Available in standard (flange) or new glass NF (no-flange/no-fluid) design.

Volk recommends the "Flanged" model for laser use.

Volk G-3 goniofundus Lenses
All Glass Design!
Volk's G-3 goniofundus lens incorporate 3 mirrors angled at 76°, 66° and 60°. The 3 Mirror is ideal for anterior chamber as well as central and peripheral fundus viewing and treatment. The retinal viewing mirrors are accurately angled and spaced 120° apart to eliminate "gaps" in the visualized fundus.

The central portion of the lens also provides direct observation of the central portion of the posterior pole. Solid, all-glass design means no more fogging! Available in standard (flange) or new glass NF (no-flange/no-fluid) design.

G-3 mini
Same design features as the standard g-3 but in a minified design that is ideal for examination and treatment of pediatric and small adult patients. Its 9.7mm contact allows excellent maneuverability in the orbit.

Volk G-4 gonio laser

The G-4 goniolaser lens features 4 precisely angled 64° mirrors to deliver a complete 360° view of the anterior chamber angle with slight rotation. The standard fluid design (flanged glass contact element) provides a stable platform during laser treatment of anterior segment.

The NF (no fluid) design features a small 8mm radius contact surfaces that's ideal for both static and dynamic gonioscopy while eliminating the need for viscous interface solutions such as methylcellulose.

Four NF models are available, including:

  • small hand held (25.5mm diameter),
  • large hand held (29mm diameter),
  • extended handle (3½" straight handle) or
  • angled handle (3½" 45° angled handle).

All four NF models share the same high quality imaging element. Choose the model that you are most comfortable using. Each reflecting surface incorporates a high efficiency vacuum deposited mirror coating, double over coated with silicone dioxide and catalyzed polyurethane polymer to provide the ultimate in protection.

Volk recommends the use of the goniolaser "Flanged" model for laser treatment. G4 gonio NF formerly known as the "Volk All Glass 4 Mirror Gonio Lens".
